The State Center provides much of its support for the State Attorneys General through grants. These grants cover the cost of “free” consultations with experts on the State Center’s Panel of Economists and its E-Discovery expert, additional expert services, other resources for investigating and litigating state enforcement actions, the costs of all State Center-sponsored training and education events and other initiatives.  The amount of grants made each year is largely dependent on available funds.  Since our founding, we have given more than $1.2 Million in grants – each year providing between $50,000 to more than $100,000 for state enforcement needs, in addition to other assistance outside of direct grants (e.g., program services of our Executive Director, interns and third party providers, and the volunteer time of our Board members.)

As a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, the State Center files federal form 990PFs each year, which are available for review on several publicly-available websites.  See, e.g., https://candid.org/research-and-verify-nonprofits/990-finder, or https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/.
